American Legion Baseball Arrives in Mifflin CountyThanks to the efforts of several involved citizens, (see Front Office) Mifflin County will field its own American Legion Baseball team for the 2001 season. The newly formed team will be the 10th team in the Central Penn American Legion Baseball League. The team will be managed by Terry Yoder, who will be assisted by Matt Shoemaker, Andy Otocka and Joel Diamond. The Schedule will consist of 35 - 40 games, featuring 8 games at the new Shaner Sports Complex, 5 games at the Indian Valley High School field, and 6 games at Rec Park in Lewistown, with 4 starting at 8:00pm. |
